Two months ago @weirdo.studio was disabled by Instagram
I know I am fragile. “Anyone can offend an artist” ©. To be honest, I had a working depression these two months as the @weirdo.studio was blocked and I really could not do anything related to business. During this time all attempts to retrieve the account back have failed. Therefore, I allowed myself a vacation. Only now am I coming to an ability to comprehend the lessons that Instagram (Facebook policy) inflicted on me and my business. In the coming months, I will need to rethink all the principles of brand promotion in the independence of self-appointed censor freaks.
Frankly, as an introvert, I have always been lazy in brand promotion. It is something that is outside of my comfort zone. I just acted like everyone else, because everyone has an Instagram page. And everyone endows this tool with unprecedented power. I think I was just pushed out of this unconscious lazy swamp. Perhaps I will be able to come up with something new without Instagram. I’ll focus on the blog at the weirdo.studio and the mailing list to keep some kind of live contact. I hope it will work out and I, as before, will make designs for yours, and my own pleasure, focusing only on my taste and understanding of beauty. No evil corporations – hotbeds of conspiracy theories, racism, and fake news – will never dictate to me what is beautiful and what is decent.
Life goes on
Tomorrow Weirdo Studio is starting a wonderful program – the product of the week. Every week and only this week, one of the scarves or shawls will be on sale at a very good discount. After that, the price will return to the standard one.
You can also vote for the product of the week if you want to get one of them.
